The
gate is always closed and no person from outside can access
the building. Clients are given a magnetic key opening the two
outside gates of the building, the entrance and their own room.
The reception is open all day long till late night, however,
there is always a person on duty, for any eventuality. |

As
the structure is quite small, it is not compulsory to respect
all fire regulations, however, the hotel is equipped with smoke
tracers and anti-fire materials such as curtains, mattresses
etc. In addition, the doors of the rooms are anti-fire REI45
(direct fire resistant for 45 minutes). |

Gas tracers connect
to gas supply self-locks are installed in all strategic points.
Extinguishers and power system, controlled on a regular basis,
complete the safety.
The staff attends the compulsory anti-fire and first aid courses. |

The
water comes from the town main waters, and is already drinkable.
In order to reduce the calcareous percent, we have installed
a Culligan softener. A special filter keeps the small foreign
bodies from passing through the pipes. |
|
|
|
|
 |
A
special attention is attributed to the fight of Legionella pneumophila
bacteria, a cause of many deaths worldwide, even recently.
According to the laws, we are not obliged to adopt any special
measures for fighting the bacteria, however, our main priority
is our Clients’ health.

|
|
Therefore, the have
opted for the following precautions:
- Automatic inlet by a proportioning pomp of small quantities
of chlorine into the waterworks (minimum 0,2 ppm).
- Hot water above 50° C.
- Weekly inspection of both chlorine quantity and hot water
temperature.
- Six-monthly cleaning and hygienisation of waterworks and tanks.
- Six-monthly tests of the waters by an independent laboratory,
attested by the competent authorities.
- Six-monthly antibacterial spray cleaning of the A/C system.
- Daily inlet of chlorine in the Jacuzzi whirlpool. |

The safety
of our IT system is ensured by an outside server (firewall)
thus to protect the data of the Clients using our computers. |
|
|
|

As
to the hygienic part of kitchen and food stuffs, we strictly
follow the guidelines of HACCP (risk and critical control points
analysis), recognized and adopted in Europe and worldwide.
The staff must attend the courses. |

|
 |
Last
but not least, and in the light of the world’s efforts
to reduce the pollution, we have installed energy save system
in the rooms interrupting the power when the Clients are not
inside, sensors in the corridors turn on the lights only on
passing, flushing devices with double push-button (3 and 6 litres).
We cannot install photovoltaic solar panels as not authorized
in the historical centre of Florence by the Ministry of Art. |
